Scope:
The
Indiana Renewable Energy Legal Team is comprised of not only lawyers, but
farmers, former elected officials who have been involved in Renewable
energy projects for several years, agricultural owners with Renewable
Energy leases on their property, and certified appraisers
The
team represents local governments and individual landowners concerning the
development of Renewable Energy projects from the governmental standpoint
from zoning through tax abatement, and the utilization of the public funds
generated by Renewable Energy companies’ grants to counties.
The
team has also been involved in issues arising after the commencement of the
production of Renewable Energy.
Drainage
issues, impaction issues, right-of-way issues and the assignment of
Renewable Energy rights, as well as the reservation of Renewable Energy
rights upon the transfer of property.
The
Indiana Renewable Energy Team also includes national representatives
Wetzel, Carmichael, Allen & Lederle, LLP attorneys
of Sweetwater, Texas. Roderick
Wetzel and Alan Carmichael and their staff have represented many local
governments and individual Renewable Energy concerning issues arising out
of Remewable Energy specialists since 2002, and
their experience and involvement with various Renewable Energy developers
and companies have been invaluable to the Indiana Renewable Energy Assist
Team.
